Somehow it sounds strange to me. A Financial Times report published the “news” of fraud at Wirecard and a British Hedgefunds bets on the fall of Wirecard and made a huge profit. Just remember the 1907 manipulation in the equity markets by the late J.P. Morgan, that caused the crash of the Dow Jones by 20%. However today Wirecard lost another 25% of its market capitalisation and closed at 108,50€ down by 36,20 Euros, following a report that a group of lawyers ordered by Wirecard found evidence of fraud. 
The stock fall the most in more than a decade and lost overall more than a third of its value this week. Despite ongoing repeat of any wrongdoing. 

 Even though stops and stop limits are not always the best choice to protect a portfolio of losses, especially in times of high volatility and sudden changes in up- and down moves, one is well advised to keep them always active. In times like these, when everything is super nervous and no one really knows what is next, one should avoid any devastating surprise by a sudden crash. Therefore keep your stop positions alive – if you are stopped out don´t buy it back without understanding what have caused the correction. Think twice and take your time. Sometimes we are acting much too fast and fear to lose a possible rebound, which could be caused only by the closing of short positions

von   Guido Zimmermann • 18 Jun, 2018 MARKTVERHALTEN IST BEÄNGSTIGEND - NICHTS PASST MEHR!! Der DAX und der Dow Jones (vorbörslich) verlieren  massiv – derzeit 204 Punkte. Gründe gibt es natürlich viele, aber einer sticht heraus. Die Tage von Kanzlerin Merkel könnten gezählt sein, so jedenfalls äußerte sich ein Insider der CDU am Samstag. Und genau dieser Umstand in Verbindung mit den weiterhin unklaren Verhältnissen über die politische Richtung in Italien,  könnten der Anstoß zu einer größeren Marktkorrektur sein. Ohnehin ist das Marktverhalten in den letzten Tagen und Wochen mehr als befremdlich und wirft viele Fragen auf. Dabei betrifft es nicht nur die Aktienmärkte sondern ebenso die schon verrückt anmutende Situation bei den Anleihen. Rauf und runter. Alleine die Renditen der zehnjährigen Bundesanleihen notieren aktuell bei 0,392%. Ende Dezember lagen sie noch bei 0,20% um dann binnen weniger Wochen bis Mitte Februar auf 0,75...

Bevorstehende Zinssenkung in USA lässt Märkte fliegen!

      Die Ereignisse überrollen die Börse derzeit. Noch im Sommer 2018 hielt die FED an zwei Zinsanhebungen für 2019 in den USA fest, im Dezember wurde das dann revidiert und nun spricht man von weiteren Zinssenkungen, um das Schlimmste zu verhindern. Eine bevorstehende Rezession, die Analysten zufolge für Januar 2020 erwartet wird. Insgesamt erwartet der Markt nun 2 Zinssenkungen in diesem Jahr, vermutlich im Juni und im Dezember 2019. Und auch die EZB äußerte sich heute entsprechend negativ und hält weitere Zinssenkungen durchaus für denkbar. Der Leitzins im Euroraum bleibt bis auf Weiteres bei 0,0%. Zudem offerierte Mario Draghi, Banken zukünftig für die Kreditaufnahme bei der EZB zu bezahlen, ebenso sollen private Kreditnehmer und Firmen von ihren Banken für die Kreditaufnahme bezahlt werden. THIS MARKET IS AS BROKEN AS ONLY IT COULD BE!!

The problem we discribed already 8 years ago again and  again, the loss in traded volume, became a serious problem for nearly all markets. Since the end of the so called Financial Crisis back in March 2009, more and more Banks closed their own books and stopped trading, the way they  have always done it. The losses were to big to accept them being part of it. You remember very well all those guys with severe losses, such the likes of Jerome Kerviel who lost only in 2008 5 billion Euros for his employer Societé Général . Or  remember the well known Nick Leeson, who brought Barings Bank back in 1995 with his wrong Nikkei positions, to fall abroad. The problem in his case was the fact that everybody knew his positions and so they started trading against him. In 2008 was clear that no Bank and especially​ no investor would accept it any longer.
